Pervez Musharraf: Pakistan’s former Prime Minister dies aged 79

The former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf has died at the age of 79.

He was a key ally during America’s war on terror, but he became a hugely divisive figure in his own country.

He passed away in hospital in Dubai, where he’d been living in self imposed exile for several years.
