Phillip Schofield: ITV investigated rumours of relationship

ITV says it investigated rumours that the presenter Phillip Schofield was having a relationship with a junior employee about three years ago, but insisted that both parties had categorically denied it.

Mr Schofield resigned yesterday after admitting to an affair with a young male colleague on This Morning.
