Phillip Schofield reveals that he is gay

It was a moment made for daytime TV but with a twist.

ITV presenter Phillip Schofield became the story himself today after he revealed on This Morning  – the programme he’s presented for 18 years – that he is gay.

He said he had struggled with his sexuality for a very long time and that the announcement came following “heartbreaking conversations” with his family.
