Police faces a ‘natural crisis’ says watchdog

A new report by the Police watchdog has warned of “worrying signs of deterioration” in the performance of some forces. It warns victims are being let down, cases are not being investigated – and suspects are still on the loose. But it’s not just a shortage of cash – the report calls on Chief Constables to use their limited resources more effectively.
