Polling day for local elections

Voters have been going to the polls today across England, Scotland and Wales in local elections. There are thousands of posts being decided, from local councils to six new directly elected mayors who will oversee combined authorities with new devolved powers. Polling stations will stay open until ten o clock tonight. Paul McNamara reports.
