Pompeo meets Saudi leaders after Khashoggi disappearance

It’s two weeks since Jamal Khashoggi vanished from the Saudi consulate in Istanbul leaving his fiancee waiting outside. President Trump has sent his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to Saudi Arabia, where he was assured a full investigation is under way, but no confirmation that the kingdom will blame “rogue elements” for Mr Khashoggi’s murder, a theory already floated by the US President.
