Pope promises action on child abuse in Catholic Church

A conference on child abuse within the Catholic Church has ended at the Vatican, with Pope Francis describing clergy who abuse children as the ‘tools of Satan.’

He vowed to end cover-ups and confront abusers with ‘the wrath of God.”

Francis made his remarks to nearly 200 senior members of his church who were summoned to Rome for the summit.
