Pressure on King Charles to apologise for Kenya atrocities grows

News Correspondent

King Charles has begun his state visit to Kenya with a speech addressing some of the abuses during British Colonial rule – saying that “abhorrent and unjustifiable acts of violence” had been committed against Kenyans as they waged their struggle for independence.

And, he added “for that, there can be no excuse”. The King has been under pressure to issue a formal apology over the Mau Mau uprising during the 1950s.
