Prison inspector issues ‘urgent notification’ on HMP Manchester following Channel 4 News report

There’s been official confirmation today that HMP Manchester has joined the growing list of England and Wales’ failing jails following our exclusive report this week.

The Chief Inspector of Prisons has issued an “urgent notification” raising serious concerns about the prison. The damning findings tell a now familiar story of a place  rife with drugs, weapons and filth.
