Barbara Kingsolver, author of the best selling novel ‘The Poisonwood Bible’ – is this year’s Pulitzer prize winner for her latest work – ‘Demon Copperhead’ – a modern take on the Charles Dickens’ classic, David Copperfield.
Set against the catastrophic opioid crisis engulfing her part of America, her tale of prejudice and isolation has – within the last hour – been announced the winner of this year’s Women’s Prize for Fiction.
