Putin’s BRICS summit attracts leaders from India, Iran, China, and Turkey

The Turkish president, Recep Erdoğan is one of the world leaders at the BRICS summit hosted by President Putin in Russia. His attempt, perhaps, to reshape perceptions of the world order in a counterpoint to the Western alliance.

Rather than head to see the King and Keir Starmer at the Commonwealth Summit in Samoa, the leaders of India and South Africa are instead in Russia, meeting with President Xi of China and the president of Iran.
