Northamptonshire Police confirmed to Channel 4 News that Anxiang Du has arrived back in the UK after being arrested in Morocco and extradited to the UK.

Northamptonshire Police said Du’s extradition had been approved by the Home Office and the Moroccan Ministry of Justice. He arrived in the UK this afternoon on a flight from Casablanca and will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Deputy Chief Constable Martin Jelley said: “On behalf of Northamptonshire Police, I would like to thank all those who have been involved in this successful extradition, including Michael Ellis MP for his considerable support in progressing this with the relevant authorities.”
