The Health Secretary has announced a raft of policies aimed at helping people in care homes in England, including testing for all care home residents and staff exhibiting symptoms.

It comes as coronavirus races through a group of the most vulnerable in society.

The Welsh Government says it’s testing symptomatic residents and staff in care homes – while in Scotland, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon revealed that a quarter of Covid-19 deaths had occurred in care homes.
