5mRapid rise in football abuse allegations
Around 350 people have now reported alleged cases of child sex abuse connected to football clubs. The number has been rising by the day following the launch of an NSPCC hotline, which has received more than 860 calls in its first week of operation. Greater Manchester Police alone say they have received reports from 35 individuals and identified 10 suspects.
