Almost 30 years ago, Paul Rusesabagina saved hundreds of his own countrymen during the inter-ethnic genocide that gripped Rwanda.
His actions inspired the film Hotel Rwanda.
But eighteen months ago he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for treason.
He says his arrest was prompted by his criticism of the Rwandan President’s human rights record, and many, including the US and the UN, have described his trial as unfair.
Now he’s been released, but only after having to admit to the charges against him.
