Report says culture of ‘deference and silence’ in Commons has allowed bullying to thrive

An inquiry into workplace behaviour in the House of Commons has said a culture of “deference and silence” has enabled bullying and sexual harassment to take place. In her report Dame Laura Cox said a “seismic change” was needed for victims to come forward, and that those reporting allegations of bullying were given no protection.
