Republican George Santos expelled from Congress after bipartisan vote

The US House of Representatives has voted to expel the Republican congressman George Santos – who’s been charged with a series of crimes and ethics violations. One Democrat described him as a “shameless liar and a disgrace to mankind”.

He’s only the sixth member in history to be kicked out of the chamber.
