Rishi Sunak defends expansion of North Sea oil and gas drilling

Drilling for oil and gas in the North Sea saves “two, three, four times the carbon emissions” from shipping it around the world, Rishi Sunak insisted today – but environmental campaigners branded the decision to grant new licences as “dangerously incoherent”.
