Rishi Sunak insists Government will meet commitment to boost house building

Rishi Sunak has insisted the Government will meet its commitment to boost house building – as ministers outlined plans to make it easier for more homes to be created in England’s city centres.

Levelling up secretary Michael Gove said he wanted to relax the current planning rules to allow empty offices and retail spaces to be converted into flats and houses. But not all Conservative MPs are happy about the idea.
