Rohingya refugees from Burma kept in appalling conditions

Thousands of Muslim refugees who have fled religious persecution in Burma have been locked up in overcrowded caged cells in detention centres in Thailand.

Channel 4 News has been inside one the facilities where the Rohingya people, as they’re known, have been incarcerated in abject squalor for months. The Thai government has appealed for help in dealing with the increasing numbers of refugees who have left Burma but no other neighbouring country appears to be prepared to take them in.
