Rumours Brexit Secretary and lead negotiator David Davis could resign

The Brexit Secretary David Davis has admitted that ministers are still “negotiating” amongst themselves over how the “backstop” plan to prevent a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic would actually work. The pressure is on as negotiators in Brussels are expecting to hear details of the British proposals within days. But there are even reports tonight that David Davis is considering resigning from the government.
