Ryan Giggs: Prosecutors withdraw charges against ex-Man Utd footballer

Former Manchester United footballer Ryan Giggs no longer faces domestic violence allegations – after prosecutors withdrew the charges.

He was due to go on trial for a second time, accused of controlling or coercive behaviour towards his former girlfriend Kate Greville, and assaulting her sister Emma.

But prosecutors said Ms Greville was unwilling to give evidence again because of the toll the first trial had taken. Mr Giggs had denied the charges.
