SAS had ‘golden pass to get away with murder’, Afghanistan inquiry told

A public inquiry has heard that Afghans killed by SAS members were described dismissively as being “flat-packed” by soldiers who seemed “beyond reproach”.

Documents have been released by the Independent Inquiry relating to Afghanistan, summarising closed hearings with members of the special forces.

They show that several senior officers had registered concerns that the SAS appeared to be carrying out executions and covering them up.
