Scheme that welcomed thousand of Ukrainians to the UK after Russia’s invasion extended

Set up to respond to the public desire to help Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion, the government’s Homes for Ukraine scheme saw as many as 115 thousand come to live with British families.

With the war very much still in progress, the initiative has now been extended.
