Schools ‘struggling’ to support children with special needs, says union

New shoes bought, pencil case at the ready, it’s back to school this week. But some children with special educational needs are sitting on the sofa at home.

One teaching union has conducted a survey which reveals that mainstream schools are struggling to resource support for pupils with special needs.
