Scotland politics – SNP names Kate Forbes deputy first minister

In Scotland today, John Swinney took the oath to become the country’s new first minister, before going on to name his cabinet.

There were few changes although Kate Forbes – who was narrowly defeated in last year’s SNP leadership contest – will take up the role as deputy first minister.
