Scotland reports record number of daily Covid cases

While the Westminster government has faced widespread criticism over its handling of the pandemic, Scotland’s first minister Nicola Sturgeon and her government have both had consistently high approval ratings.

But today Scotland reported its highest number of new coronavirus cases since the outbreak first began – while the number of patients in hospital, and those on ventilators, has soared too over the last week.
