Scotland ‘vital’ to forming next Labour government, says Starmer

The party leaders have been taking their election messages around the nations.

Sir Keir Starmer declared that Scotland was “vital” to forming the next Labour government – calling the SNP as divided and chaotic as the Conservatives.

He used his visit to Glasgow to promote Labour’s idea for a publicly-owned green energy company.

Rishi Sunak, who’s been campaigning in Northern Ireland, argued that a fall in the energy price cap proved that HIS plan was working.
