Scottish budget: SNP pledges to scrap two-child benefit cap

More political uncertainty – this time in Scotland, where the minority SNP government unveiled its budget.

Finance Secretary Shona Robison pledged to scrap the controversial two-child cap on benefits and reintroduce winter fuel payments in Scotland.

But without the support of another party her budget can’t pass, and another election could be on the cards.
