Settling of Windrush compensation claims to start from today

The Home Secretary has announced that he will direct civil servants to start Windrush compensation payments from today, despite the Government failing to pass legislation to fully authorise the scheme.

But Channel 4 News has learnt only a few hundred people have applied since Windrush compensation was launched three months ago.
