Sheflation: how the cost of living crisis is hitting women hardest

The rising cost of living is having an impact across the country.

But research has found women are disproportionately affected. The Living Wage Foundation found women generally earn less, and buy more of the items that are rising in price. And they’re often primary caregivers, unable to work longer hours as they struggle with high child-care fees.

Campaigners call it ‘Sheflation’, and Holly Snelling has been speaking to women who are bearing the brunt of it.
