The US gold medallist Simone Biles and three fellow gymnastics stars have begun giving evidence at the Senate Judiciary Committee, as part of their investigation into Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics doctor convicted of sexually assaulting or abusing more than 150 girls and women.
At times, overcome with emotion, Ms Biles told the committee that she not only blamed Nassar but the entire system which she said had enabled and perpetuated his abuse, adding that they should be held accountable too.
