Sinn Fein calls for coalition talks after historic gains in Irish elections

The Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald has hailed what she called a ‘revolution in the ballot box’ after her party made historic gains in the Irish general election.

She’s talking to the other smaller parties to see if it’s possible to form a government, but it looks like Ireland is set for weeks of political uncertainty.
