Sinn Fein tells Johnson no-deal Brexit should be followed by NI border poll

No small challenge for Boris Johnson, then, as he made his first visit to Northern Ireland as Prime Minister.

He held a private dinner last night with senior figures from the Democratic Unionists, much to the annoyance of the other main parties.

Mr Johnson insisted he was acting with “complete impartiality”, a claim immediately dismissed by Sinn Fein as “laughable”.
