Sir David Adjaye on what inspired him to become an architect and encouraging Black people to take up design

Sir David Adjaye is known for striking designs, which include the Cherry Groce Memorial, the Rivington Arts Centre and the Stephen Lawrence Centre.

Speaking to Channel 4 News as part of Channel 4’s Black to Front project, Sir David says he hopes more young Black people will feel encouraged to enter into the design sector, adding there’s “so much natural talent” not being harnessed by society.
