Sir Grayson Perry says knighthood ‘extra special’ due to achievements – not class

The artist and broadcaster Grayson Perry who has been made a Knight Bachelor for services to the arts.

Known as much for his cross-dressing alter-ego Claire as his ceramic pots, Sir Grayson posted a picture of himself on Twitter saying “the news is out and I’m not quite ready.”

We spoke to him earlier and asked how he is feeling about becoming a ‘knight’.
