Snow causes widespread travel disruption and school closures

Hazardous ice and more snow flurries are on the way tonight, with much of the country still in the grip of freezing weather. Hundreds of schools were closed, travel was disrupted, with flights and train services cancelled or delayed. In Cornwall, 100 drivers, who were stranded in their cars last night, trekked miles through the snow to spend the night in a pub.
