They’re controversial legal agreements which can guarantee silence in exchange for cash. The furore over non-disclosure agreements emerged again last week, after a Labour peer used parliamentary privilege to identify Sir Philip Green as a businessman alleged to have used NDAs in settlements with several former employees claiming sexual and racial harassment.
Sir Philip denies the claims. Now, the SNP MP Hannah Bardell has revealed in a separate legal dispute that she signed a 28-page settlement seen by this programme, after allegedly enduring bullying and harassment at a previous workplace. We spoke to her about her experiences, and why she wants these legal agreements outlawed.
