South Korea impeaches second president in a fortnight

Politicians in South Korea have voted to impeach the acting President Han Duck-soo – less than a fortnight after ousting the previous leader.

The move has deepened the country’s political crisis which was triggered earlier this month, when former president Yoon Suk-Yeol briefly imposed martial law.
