South Korea: MPs vote to impeach President Yoon

The South Korean parliament has voted to impeach President Yoon Suk Yeol, who tried, briefly, to impose martial law on his country.

Now it’s up to the Constitutional Court to decide whether to dismiss him or restore his powers.

But meanwhile, today’s vote was met with jubilation from the crowds gathered outside parliament.
