South Korea president faces impeachment after martial law crisis

People have taken to the streets once again in South Korea to demand the resignation of the President Yoon Suk Yeol after he was forced to overturn his own attempt to bring in Martial Law.

The country’s defence minister has this morning apologised and offered to resign, along with some of his cabinet colleagues. A vote on whether to charge the President with misconduct is expected by the end of the week.
