Spain’s left and right parties both claim victory as election leads to hung parliament

Spain faces another hung parliament and perhaps weeks, or even months, of political uncertainty after both the Socialist Government and the right-wing opposition failed to gain enough seats to form a new government. While the conservative People’s Party won the most seats, they and their far-right allies, the Vox Party, are short of a majority, and Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez fared better than many had predicted.
