Starmer under pressure to call for a ceasefire in Israel-Hamas war

Sir Keir Starmer is under growing pressure from senior members of his own party to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The Labour leadership’s official stance is to call for ‘humanitarian pauses’ to allow aid to get through. But now the mayors of London and Manchester along with the Scottish Labour leader say that’s not enough to prevent further deaths.
