Stolen painting found in Italian art gallery’s walls confirmed as Klimt

It was stolen more than twenty years ago – its disappearance shrouded in mystery. But now a masterpiece by the artist Gustav Klimt has turned up, hidden inside an Italian art gallery’s walls.

It was discovered by gardeners while they were clearing ivy – and experts have now confirmed its authenticity.
