At least three people have been killed, hundreds of flooded homes have been evacuated and a red weather warning has been extended for another day – as Storm Babet continues to cause havoc around the country.
Flooding has closed roads and disrupted transport across the north of England and the West Midlands. A holiday flight from Corfu skidded off the runway at Leeds Bradford Airport, while a major incident was declared in Sussex – with people ordered not to travel unless “absolutely essential”.
But it’s the east of Scotland that’s been worst affected.
