Storm Harvey: ‘30,000 people in Houston will need shelter’

Tens of thousands of people have been forced from their homes after Tropical Storm Harvey bought unprecedented flooding to Houston, Texas. But the situation over hundreds of miles of America’s southern coastline could worsen in the coming days as rainfall is expected to double by the end of the week. Texas has deployed its entire National Guard to help with the rescue effort and President Trump has approved an emergency declaration for neighbouring Louisiana.
