Students get GCSE results amid biggest shake up in years

More than half a million students got their GCSE results today – amid the biggest shake up to the exams in a generation. And it wasn’t just a challenge for the teenagers who sat the tests: grades are gradually being changed across England to a new 9-1 system – as part of a drive to make the exams more rigorous.
