Sturgeon announces tough quarantine measures for arrivals

Chief Correspondent

Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced new quarantine measures that go well beyond those of the UK government.

Addressing the Scottish parliament today, she said anyone coming from anywhere outside the UK will have to isolate in a hotel for a fortnight.

But she also outlined plans for schools to begin reopening from 22 February, earlier than in England.
