Syria discussion: Karen von Hippel and Ali Khedery

Joining us from Central London is Karen von Hippel, a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State at the US State Department and director of the foreign policy think tank, the Royal United Services Institute.  And from Abu Dhabi, the US diplomat Ali Khedery who was a special assistant to five American ambassadors in Iraq, and a senior adviser to three four-star chiefs of U.S. Central Command. He supported Obama in 2008, but since then has been critical of his foreign policy and now informally advises the Trump administration on foreign affairs
