Telegraph CEO resigns as watchdog investigation continues into sale of the media group

The chief executive of the Telegraph, Nick Hugh, has resigned, as the watchdog continues its investigation into the sale of the media group.

Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer has now launched a second investigation into concerns surrounding the decision to transfer control of the Telegraph titles to Redbird IMI – a consortium backed by the United Arab Emirates.
